Taco Van Der Hoorn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taco Van Der Hoorn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 8th playminute. 13 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Vasco Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Peru's Julian Murillo in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vasco Goycochea guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vasco Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 22nd minute of play. Vasco Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 32nd play minute Taco Van Der Hoorn came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rolando Noboa. 3-1. 36 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Vasco Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Taco Van Der Hoorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Taco Van Der Hoorn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ronaldo Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Vasco Goycochea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taco Van Der Hoorn in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vasco Goycochea was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Vasco Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oliverios Gayangos got a free kick in the 70th minute. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ made a substitution. Enrique Domingues replaced Taco Van Der Hoorn. The supporters of Peru booed when ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliverios Gayangos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vasco Goycochea skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vasco Goycochea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
