Taco Van Der Hoorn might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taco Van Der Hoorn ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Taco Van Der Hoorn sent off a good shot on target. When Edward Mcdonald came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Mcdonald couldn't finish the play. Taco Van Der Hoorn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Monty Rogers took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasco Goycochea. Vasco Goycochea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vasco Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 24 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasco Goycochea was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Taco Van Der Hoorn scored to the left of an out of position Marco Day, making the score, 1-2. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Taco Van Der Hoorn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasco Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 37th minute of play. Taco Van Der Hoorn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. A collision led to ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kauã Nascimento hit a great ball. Taco Van Der Hoorn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. USA were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Taco Van Der Hoorn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Vasco Goycochea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Monty Rogers in the 63rd minute. Monty Rogers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vasco Goycochea came out and tried to block the shot, but Monty Rogers slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 72nd minute. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Enrique Domingues was substituted for Taco Van Der Hoorn. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolay Dudevski in the 76th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldo Cosme in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Ronaldo Cosme almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. With a little luck, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Nikolay Dudevski got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Vasco Goycochea in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Sam Campbell sped through ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vasco Goycochea. Sam Campbell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vasco Goycochea came out and tried to block the shot, but Sam Campbell slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 89th minute. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Campbell in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Khalid Parry fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. USA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
