Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octavio Carballo started the match with the kick off. Ali Numan Abanoz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maden FC's Lütfü Mürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Lütfü Mürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maden FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Mexico's Alberto Tafalla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 41st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Mürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lütfü Mürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Osoro in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
