Vasco Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Taco Van Der Hoorn sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Taco Van Der Hoorn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kauã Nascimento's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Taco Van Der Hoorn managed to get in a good position for a shot. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Taco Van Der Hoorn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball.
