Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rune Gustafsson started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Rune Gustafsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Sven-Åke Kjellbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. Sven-Åke Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 24 played minutes Hemse RK got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Picado. Rune Gustafsson took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 35th minute, Rune Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Åke Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Gustafsson in the 46th minute of play.

The audience was convinced that Rune Gustafsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Gustafsson in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Rune Gustafsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rune Gustafsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Gustafsson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Gustafsson in the 63rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rune Gustafsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Gustafsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Kjellbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute. The nice shot from Daniel Zorita in the 80thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sven-Åke Kjellbom had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Rune Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hemse RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hemse RK's Frans Smedfeldt was substituted for Gabriel Hedlund. Hemse RK were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredrik Klack took the corner. Antonio Arias thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 3-1. After a rather tough play, Hemse RK's Timo Lanng got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Antonio Picado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, Hemse RK could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
