The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 詹俊 á Bø in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 詹俊 á Bø stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 93rd match minute, Wellington Phoenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Barros to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø. But to his dismay, 詹俊 á Bø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Wellington Phoenix's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
