Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) The audience was convinced that Thierry Henry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. When GuateFortín's Thierry Henry in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thierry Henry got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 11th minute. Thierry Henry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Alvarenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on GuateFortín's corner Roberto Trotta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Thierry Henry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Zico Zellier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Zellier in the 37th minute of play. GuateFortín were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angel Alvarenga took the corner. The corner led to GuateFortín's Zico Zellier getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 46 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Thierry Henry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Zico Zellier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thierry Henry in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Thierry Henry. But to his dismay, Thierry Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thierry Henry struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GuateFortín. Thierry Henry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Thierry Henry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Henry in the 80th minute of play. Thierry Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GuateFortín.
