Vicente Chavess short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Noel Seide to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Vicente Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 9 minutes into the game, Chico de Brito lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Noel Seide. Haiti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Chico de Brito scored to the left of an out of position Noel Seide, making the score, 2-0. After 19 minutes, Bernardinho Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Haiti booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noel Seide made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Vicente Chaves sent off a good shot on target. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haiti the free kick. Naldo Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jonathan Alphonse charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Alphonse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renatinho Linhares in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noel Seide saved Haiti from getting behind. After some careless play in the Haiti defense, Ian Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Seide. The Haiti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Seide should have stopped the shot. Fernandão de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Jean Claude Ulysse kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Magalhães in the 60th minute of play. Eusébio Magalhães scored 6-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Seide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Ian Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Noel Seide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Haiti booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Renatinho Linhares put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Noel Seide. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Renatinho Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Abreu in the 88th minute of the match. Eusébio Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Seide having to interfere. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Linhares in the 92nd minute of play. Ernso Constant charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernso Constant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ian Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Cruzeiro Esporte Clube were the better team. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
