Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaudencio Frichoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcial Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 30 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Phelipe who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Club Real Cantera's corner Fabricio Ugutz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Frichoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Club Real Cantera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Ugutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 50th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz. In the 61st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Phelipe in the 62nd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Phelipe in the 64th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Club Real Cantera defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Frichoso. The Club Real Cantera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Frichoso should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Leoz made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Real Cantera's Herminio Lano. Gaudencio Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 70th minute of play. When Rolando Schiavi fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Real Cantera's protests and gave Rolando Schiavi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Real Cantera getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rolando Schiavi hit a great ball. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Emanuel Phelipe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Real Cantera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 79th minute Emanuel Phelipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gaudencio Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Frichoso saved Club Real Cantera from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Emanuel Phelipe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Emanuel Phelipe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Club Real Cantera's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Gaudencio Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 87th minute of play. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
