Haiti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Cássio Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's zone, Ernso Constant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Gaspar came out of the goal and Ernso Constant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Noel Seide successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Jonathan Alphonse put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cássio Gaspar. Saint Jean Pierre's late challenge caught a ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saint Jean Pierre helped the player get up and apologised. Noel Seide was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Paiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 39th play minute Enrique Paiva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Noel Seide. 3-1. Enrique Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Corrêa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Paiva was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Alphonse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Cássio Gaspar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jonathan Alphonse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Paiva scored 4-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Seide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Nóbrega in the 67th minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Paiva in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Seide prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
