Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Sá in the 20th minute of play. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Severiano Arano made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 23rd minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Axel Montenegro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Haroldo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Haroldo Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar de Moraes in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Aníbal Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Varban Pavlikyanov. But to his dismay, Varban Pavlikyanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 72 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Sá came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Délio Coutinho hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Breno Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Colombia's Abram Secada got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga got a freekick which was hit by Philippe Alcântara. Severiano Arano charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Arano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severiano Arano hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante got control of the ball when Orlando Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 96th minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clube Atl.
