Ahmet İlke Ertüze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Dorel Bolborici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet İlke Ertüze in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet İlke Ertüze came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 51st minute Pompiliu Traianescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorel Bolborici was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute.
