The throw-in from Fu Peng Feng in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Frinnaryd's Zoran Zorić. 14 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Rolfsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mike Zoetmulder, 1-0. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute of the match Frinnaryd got a corner. De Pelgrims's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zoran Zorić ran over to the corner to take the kick. Egil Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mike Zoetmulder made a huge save. After 32 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Fu Peng Feng. In the 33rd minute, Karl-Ove Rolfsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Zoetmulder was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Benigno Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 36th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Frinnaryd's Karl-Ove Rolfsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mike Zoetmulder. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. Benigno Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan Mol in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Montrel Perpiñán got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Karl-Ove Rolfsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Zoetmulder was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egil Sjögren to strike the kick off in the second half. If Henk Cardinaal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Rolfsson in the 57th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias de Ruijter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benigno Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frinnaryd's Brian Jansson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fu Peng Feng in the 65 minute of the game. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Frinnaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behiç Üster to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Henk Cardinaal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benigno Feo. That made the score 4-1 in the 72 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Sjögren in the 75th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Zoetmulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Rolfsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Montrel Perpiñán with Henk Cardinaal as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Frinnaryd's Benigno Feo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Frinnaryd from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Frinnaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Eger came free, but Benigno Feo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match De Pelgrims got a corner. Frinnaryd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. With an all-out effort, De Pelgrims's Benigno Feo threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henk Cardinaal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 91 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Peter Kloppenburg. 94 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Sjögren came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
