Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Nytäppet Fc's Sture Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Sture Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sture Abrahamsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dušan Vlahović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Lombardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Lombardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Sture Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match, Dušan Vlahović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 45 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Nytäppet Fc's Sture Abrahamsson. Sture Abrahamsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

After 54 minutes of play, Nytäppet Fc's Dušan Vlahović made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Solitario in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sture Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xande Solitario in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Xande Solitario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nytäppet Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xande Solitario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xande Solitario's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sture Abrahamsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Dave Lombardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dušan Vlahović in the 80th minute of the match. Sture Abrahamsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sture Abrahamsson. Sture Abrahamsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Xande Solitario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Juan Sebastián Puig struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sture Abrahamsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nytäppet Fc.
