In the 20th minute, Roben Van Geele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roben Van Geele kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Aguilar got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norbert Verhulst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Westmeerbeek were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luck Hodson took the corner. The corner led Sporting Westmeerbeek's Luck Hodson to fire away a dangerous shot which Lautaro Navarro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Honduras's Sebastian Villa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brecht Van Hespen, made in the 36th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Aguilar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Verhulst was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Aguilar in the 58th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacque De Brouwer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brecht Van Hespen during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Sporting Westmeerbeek got a freekick which was hit by Brecht Van Hespen. In the 65th minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sebastian Villa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jacque De Brouwer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Alex Sarangapani made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Norbert Verhulst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Aguilar in the 92nd minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sporting Westmeerbeek were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
