Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roque Aguilar got the match started through his kick off. Roben Van Geele charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roben Van Geele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, one of Sporting Westmeerbeek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Westmeerbeek. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Uruguay. Jaime Cazalla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Norbert Verhulst. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Roque Aguilar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 15 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacque De Brouwer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Roque Aguilar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Roque Aguilar came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sporting Westmeerbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Aguilar couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Jacque De Brouwer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Gayoso, passed just outside the right post. Alex Sarangapani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Sarangapani to maneuver through the defense. Luck Hodson kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. If Çelebi Tublek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Sarangapani's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Norbert Verhulst to make any attempt to save it. In the 68th minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Francisco Seco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alex Sarangapani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Westmeerbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Sarangapani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Roque Aguilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-6 when Roque Aguilar sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The audience was convinced that Roque Aguilar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norbert Verhulst. Sporting Westmeerbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. The Uruguay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
