Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daan Leers in the 10th minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, 鲁辉适 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 重庆1997联队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 鲁辉适 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 minutes of play, 重庆1997联队's 鲁辉适 made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pang Bang Xun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 鲁辉适 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Daan Leers sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Jose Carita. 28 minutes into the match, Daan Leers notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in 重庆1997联队's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pang Bang Xun came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, 重庆1997联队's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Pang Bang Xun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pang Bang Xun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 41 minutes, 鲁辉适 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 重庆1997联队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 鲁辉适 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pang Bang Xun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Daan Leers came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pang Bang Xun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 67th minute of play. Daan Leers took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 贺卫亮 during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 贺卫亮 hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Pang Bang Xun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abraham Alguacil. In the 85th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pang Bang Xun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. Daan Leers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Tomas Berganza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 重庆1997联队 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
