Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Stickleback Utd Xl's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Felix Crayon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stickleback Utd Xl's Felix Crayon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Crayon having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Felix Crayon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Crayon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Stephen Clapham sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Stickleback Utd Xl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles-Antoine Dartiguelongue didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stickleback Utd Xl's Felix Crayon didn't even have to move. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Stephen Clapham sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gary Pettifer in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 37 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 44th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stickleback Utd Xl's Felix Crayon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stickleback Utd Xl made a substitution. Kevin Ahlbeck replaced Charles Armitstead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephen Clapham to make the kick off. The supporters of Stickleback Utd Xl booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kees Zeydeveld hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Crayon was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Felix Crayon could save by the left post. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Clapham, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
