Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sabino Valverde started the match with the kick off. Primitivo Andino made in the 2nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. 4 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marciano Idacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Pretorianos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marciano Idacio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Sabino Valverde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pretorianos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabino Valverde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute of the match Pretorianos FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicanor Demario ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Victorino Loren managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pretorianos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Primitivo Andino made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristian Sancho immediately put the ball in play. 32 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's Sabino Valverde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Idacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Sabino Valverde scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to Pretorianos FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tostão Ceresso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pretorianos FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Idacio came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Victorino Loren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute Pretorianos FC were awarded a corner. Nicanor Demario went to the cornerflag to take it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Pretorianos FC's Primitivo Neron was substituted for Adan Pueblo. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Pretorianos FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Loren. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marciano Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marciano Idacio, 1-3. In the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tostão Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. A collision led to Pretorianos FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Victorino Loren hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's goalkeeper Marciano Idacio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a little luck, Pretorianos FC's Marciano Idacio got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sabino Valverde struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pretorianos FC. In the 76th minute Tostão Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Valverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Sabino Valverde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pretorianos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sabino Valverde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pretorianos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabino Valverde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 90th minute. Sabino Valverde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
