In the 17th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aimé Holtmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Pascual Carballar heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Adrian Neubauer sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Neubauer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes FC Temeswar Banat got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Osmundo. Aimé Holtmann came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Neubauer in the 36th minute. Agapito Diaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Agapito Diaz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trendafil Dzhendov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Aimé Holtmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Neubauer in the 52nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agapito Diaz in the 56th minute of play. FC Temeswar Banat's Eike Mack quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Garrido, made in the 59th minute of the game. Aimé Holtmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Agapito Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
