The wind increased when Clemente Orain made the kick off in the second half. Marian Adamski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute of the match. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Adamski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abelardo Raebert, made in the 71st minute of the game. In the 94th minute Eustaquio Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Desfachatados F.C. fully deserved thier win.
