Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. René Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. René Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's René Higuita managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Moths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's Marcu Pașcanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's Zhou Xiang Li was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Zhou Xiang Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A well-hit corner resulted in Marcu Pașcanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 26 minutes into the match, ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but René Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Juan Sebastián Puig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's René Higuita did a great save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thoralf Banke's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. René Higuita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thoralf Banke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's Zhou Xiang Li got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhou Xiang Li made a kick off. René Higuita came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kornél Majoros to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm's Angelo Hamberger got a free kick in the 66th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thoralf Banke in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match ᗩɦmeɗo ᎥᏦᎥ Göȥüm got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thoralf Banke ran over to the corner to take the kick. René Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhou Xiang Li in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which René Higuita however easily saved by the left post. Thoralf Banke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhou Xiang Li's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. René Higuita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
