Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Taurino Hernaiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Taurino Hernaiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zernin Losa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ingmar Kracke's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Kracke helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Resistencia Tayrona FC got a freekick which was hit by Ingmar Kracke. Zernin Losa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Taurino Hernaiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resistencia Tayrona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Taurino Hernaiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Genaro Harroyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taurino Hernaiz in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taurino Hernaiz got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Taurino Hernaiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingmar Kracke kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Honduras's Christian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zernin Losa in the 38th minute of the match. Taurino Hernaiz struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Resistencia Tayrona FC. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taurino Hernaiz in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taurino Hernaiz made a kick off. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taurino Hernaiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Resistencia Tayrona FC made a substitution. Chale Galanes replaced Zernin Losa. Taurino Hernaiz hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Ingmar Kracke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia Tayrona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingmar Kracke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stanislav Dvorskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 65th minute of the match. Egun Zaballos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. A throw-in in the 74th minute of the game was made by Genaro Harroyo with Egun Zaballos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 76 minutes of play, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Egun Zaballos made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 79th play minutes Egun Zaballos shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Lautaro Navarro and just under the crossbar into goal. Bermudo Uranga made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ingmar Kracke however managed to control. If Egun Zaballos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chale Galanes in the 89th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egun Zaballos's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Stanislav Dvorskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 92nd minute of the match. Adriano Samperio kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Resistencia Tayrona FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Samperio. In the 96th minute of the match Luca Espinar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stanislav Dvorskiy skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Resistencia Tayrona FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
