Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Juarês Melo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Juarês Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Per-Olof Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Juarês Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Sikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Melo in the 18th minute of play. Per-Olof Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 30 played minutes Messejana SportClub - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Válter Furtado. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Juarês Melo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced Messejana SportClub - DMZ's goalkeeper Per-Olof Sikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Mexico's Luca Rouco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luca Rouco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luca Rouco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Juarês Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Melo in the 53rd minute of the match. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Messejana SportClub - DMZ made a substitution. Mário Veiga replaced Juarês Melo. In the 56th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Erik Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Mário Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Messejana SportClub - DMZ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Yuri Alberto hit a great ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Veiga in the 69th minute of play. Mário Veiga scored 3-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Daniel Penha quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Luque, made in the 77th minute of the game. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Per-Olof Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 85th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Messejana SportClub - DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
