Tostão Domingues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fellipe Botelho in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fellipe Botelho in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 19th minute of the match OSASCO FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Conrado Quirino ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fellipe Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Fellipe Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fellipe Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 42nd minute of play forced OSASCO FC's goalkeeper Tostão Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Fellipe Botelho made the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Botelho in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tostão Domingues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. OSASCO FC's Fellipe Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Botelho came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Pimenta's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noel Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. Noel Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tostão Domingues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tostão Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
