Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dino Cara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Cara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Christian Vieri sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Cara having to interfere. In the 28th minute Armando Adriano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Emanuele Boccanera tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Coriano FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
