Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Stephansson in the 7th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Hansson in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Ted Holmgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Sundborn IF's Henning Bennet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Kalle Askberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Hansson to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalle Askberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Alf Hansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kalle Askberg. Kalle Askberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Holmgren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Kalle Askberg made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sundborn IF's goalie and right to Cristian Sancho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sundborn IF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaloyan Mitashev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalle Askberg made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After 74 minutes Sundborn IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kalle Askberg quite easily take care of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaloyan Mitashev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Ted Holmgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Heigo Valt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundborn IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 89th minute, Heigo Valt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Sundborn IF defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalle Askberg. The Sundborn IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalle Askberg should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Askberg having to interfere. The Sundborn IF players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
