Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Trifon Ivanov hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dietbald Ströbele saved Manchester United FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Shevchenko got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Haşim Temizhan kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Trifon Ivanov hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Junior Shevchenko sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebius Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Junior Shevchenko got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Manchester United FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ed 冯义升 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Camilo Gaos tried in the game's 41st match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Jonathan Ferrant. An annoying self made goal, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Ed 冯义升 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Ed 冯义升 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebius Smolarek in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When Tadeu Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United FC's protests and gave Tadeu Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. Tadeu Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Ed 冯义升 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Trifon Ivanov hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Manchester United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. In the 65th minute Ed 冯义升 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tadeu Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Shevchenko came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trifon Ivanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Shevchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manchester United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Shevchenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester United FC had won after a very even match.
