After 10 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludomil Ziomkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. Ludomil Ziomkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Ziomkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Brown during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Brown. 33 minutes into the game, Afonso da Cunha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Day. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Campbell came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso da Cunha in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. If Virgiawan Laturua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Ludomil Ziomkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Xande Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for USA! USA:s Marco Day showed great skill when he stopped Afonso da Cunha:s penalty. Afonso da Cunha scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Ludomil Ziomkowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jenson Smith was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest.
