The supporters of Sledgehammer KO booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Antonio Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Matthew Garrido charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthew Garrido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 37th minute. Leonard Åhman struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sledgehammer KO. Marcos Cotilla didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sledgehammer KO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
