In the 15th minute Eugenio Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Bernal's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Eugenio Bernal might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Bernal ran back to his position shaking his head. Didi Papardelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of the match.
