Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Rönnöfors FF's Per Tunström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Gunnarsson having to interfere. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of the match. Magne Gunnarsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson. Magne Gunnarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Fagerberg came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 31st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Per Stenberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Fagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Magne Gunnarsson. The goal made the score 0-3. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 67th minute of the match. Rönnöfors FF's Sigvard Biörnberg was substituted for Olimpiu Mirciulescu. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Fagerberg came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Per Stenberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Lautaro Mancebo made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alberto Tafalla. In the 94th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Magne Gunnarsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
