After 26 minutes of play, Atlético Letal's Bieito Cubas made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Atlético Letal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Bieito Cubas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Bieito Cubas slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 33rd minute. Atlético Letal made a substitution. Patryk Markowski replaced Roch Januszewski. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Letal the free kick. After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Goren in the 54th minute of play. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Atlético Letal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giancarlo Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Goren in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Letal's supporters rose to their feet, but Bieito Cubas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Bieito Cubas came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Atlético Letal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bieito Cubas couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Atlético Letal were the better team. Atlético Letal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
