Marcos Cotilla had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Yngve Sjöberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 7th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Yngve Sjöberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. Uno Bjurström kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Västlund skillfully saved the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Don Nickler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Yngve Sjöberg got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 29th minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ivan Västlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Nickler in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yngve Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Abraham Alguacil's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ivan Västlund firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Västlund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 75th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Westra Aros SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Nickler in the 76th minute of the match. Jose Carita made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Miguel Miralles. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Västlund saved Westra Aros SK from getting behind. In the 87th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Carita to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Mark Eckegren. In the 90th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Westra Aros SK support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
