Bolo Skjold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Paolo-César Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bolo Skjold was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bolo Skjold saved Protegéerna from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bolo Skjold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolo Skjold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Skarkman in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xu Yi Chong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petter Skarkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petter Skarkman was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Lundin came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bolo Skjold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fernando Arango in the 55 minute of the game. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xu Yi Chong in the 85 minute of the game. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bolo Skjold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Protegéerna fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
