Dimcho Bobchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Prandini. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dimcho Bobchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gu Bang Jun in the 24th minute of the match. Dimcho Bobchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Kilström's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Kilström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to a score. 0-2 in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute Gu Bang Jun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Prandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 64th minute, FC Kickerz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 66 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Prandini in the 69th minute of the match. Carl Kilström hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kickerz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Dimcho Bobchev, making the score, 0-4. In the 80th minute Carl Kilström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Eriksson who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Eriksson in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
