The supporters of Holmkjar Hotspurs booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tristan Nordlet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nickolai Stensholt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Tristan Nordlet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 62nd minute, Elmar Lexbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tristan Nordlet made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Makenhauer in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tristan Nordlet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Kurd Frydenholt was substituted for Claes Katsir. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Kalle Molnit was substituted for Sigfrid Eildorf. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Magnus Steinwart was substituted for Bent Streyder. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Lexbo in the 81st minute of play. Magnus Steinwart might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magnus Steinwart ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Tristan Nordlet however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Molnit in the 90th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tristan Nordlet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
