With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Ezequiel Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, Jânio Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jânio Lira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jânio Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Jânio Lira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Jânio Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Torreão OFF's Ezequiel Ortiz. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jânio Lira took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Ricardo Zorita to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Torreão OFF's Jânio Lira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 6-0 after 35 minutes of play. 38 minutes into the game, Jânio Lira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Jânio Lira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Torreão OFF's Jânio Lira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Lira got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jânio Lira made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Ezequiel Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torreão OFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ortiz in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Teodoro Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torreão OFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Dubardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ortiz in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Jânio Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Jânio Lira took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. If Jânio Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Ezequiel Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jânio Lira in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. In the 87th minute, Jânio Lira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torreão OFF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0.
