When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Pepito Plasencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Urbes Cenzano. Urbes Cenzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 86th minute, Suscal Carmenes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Suscal Carmenes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Puerto Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Suscal Carmenes hit a great ball. Robin Cabero's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robin Cabero helped the player get up and apologised. Robin Cabero kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
