An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Dijoux in the 3rd minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Darío Verón threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 14th minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clark Kent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Dijoux in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gremio Viana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastián Roco was slow to take the kick. During this time Zorros del Desierto's players had a chance to rest. Clark Kent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Paredes in the 21st minute of play. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Alex Dijoux. But to his dismay, Alex Dijoux quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The throw-in from Luis Alberto Spinetta in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Mariusz Lamczyk. Tony Påk charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tony Påk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tony Påk hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Darío Verón in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Amado Melo. The throw-in from Amado Melo in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zorros del Desierto's Alfred Petrasz. Samuel Fiúza made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Alex Dijoux sent off a good shot on target. Dalmo Ferreira made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cai Jian Chang. Joaquim Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 41st minute of play. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Dijoux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Alex Dijoux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Dijoux in the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Paredes in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clark Kent saved Zorros del Desierto from getting behind. After having played for 58 minutes, Tony Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Påk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Inge Rolig replaced Cesar Sampaio. If Carlos Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Clark Kent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Luna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Dijoux in the 68th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Dijoux in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Severino Torcato got a free kick in the 71st minute. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Mohamed Ali Bomba replaced Severino Torcato. The supporters of Zorros del Desierto booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Torcato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Clark Kent, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clark Kent was a little too slow when Carlos Luna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 2-1. Carlos Luna struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Clark Kent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio Viana. Samuel Fiúza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Silm's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Clark Kent made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Luna in the 90th minute. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Allan Silm. But to his dismay, Allan Silm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 96th minute, Allan Silm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Fiúza was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
