Romed Scheider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Marx. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Boehm's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Marx in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Romed Scheider came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Marx in the 76th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes El Salvador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduard Ganz who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC 08 Brühl's Eduard Ganz to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Zorita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC 08 Brühl's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eduard Ganz in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on FC 08 Brühl's corner Eduard Ganz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ricardo Zorita quite easily take care of the ball. FC 08 Brühl's Padro Cambero got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC 08 Brühl's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
