Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cezary Kasiewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After 8 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. When Aaron Alcocer fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Aaron Alcocer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 12th minute. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Betão Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 19th minute of the match. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when GKS Katowice's Ludomir Zacharek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 22nd minute of the match. Axel Tasis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 29th minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, GKS Katowice's Ludomir Zacharek made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 36th minute. Olgierd Cwojdak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Olgierd Cwojdak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Betão Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucjan Werra made a kick off. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. GKS Katowice's Lucjan Werra got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucjan Werra went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes, GKS Katowice's Dominik Brysz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GKS Katowice reached it. In the 70th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Zbyszko Kasiewski made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by GKS Katowice's Cezary Kasiewski. But to his dismay, Cezary Kasiewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Werra in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Lucjan Werra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When GKS Katowice's Lucjan Werra in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal.
