Emilio Rizzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Emilio Rizzo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. 12 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Emiliano Polito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Polito was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Emiliano Polito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Emiliano Polito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Duri come il marmo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Polito came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Polito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberigo Addari's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Emiliano Polito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Rizzo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54thth minute of the game Alberigo Addari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Emiliano Polito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Alberigo Addari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Addari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Alberigo Addari. But to his dismay, Alberigo Addari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Duri come il marmo's Flavio Lattanzio was substituted for Fabiano Natale. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emiliano Polito firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 74th minute, Alberigo Addari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duri come il marmo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Polito having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Addari in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Emiliano Polito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberigo Addari in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
