An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 22nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Gabrio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Vialli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianluca Vialli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jose Carita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Edelmiro Firme got a free kick in the 57th minute. Loco De la Maza made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. If Gianluca Vialli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Falckner FC's Alberto Edorta was substituted for Gianluca Vialli. A sloppy throw-in by Jose Carita in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Falckner FC's Damaso Inge. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loco De la Maza having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Damaso Inge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falckner FC the free kick. After 84 minutes, Gaspar Baraquiel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falckner FC and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaspar Baraquiel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The throw-in from Jose Carita in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Falckner FC's Edelmiro Firme. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Damaso Inge got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Urbano Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falckner FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panama for a fine match.
