In the 26th minute, one of AFRASİYAB FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFRASİYAB FC. The referee gave Panama a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AFRASİYAB FC's Reşat Özsungur. 2-1. The supporters of Panama booed when AFRASİYAB FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enes Ünal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, AFRASİYAB FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Reşat Özsungur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match Panama got a corner. AFRASİYAB FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. That made the score 3-1 in the 41 minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 50th match minute, AFRASİYAB FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yusuf Erdoğan to maneuver through the defense. AFRASİYAB FC's Reşat Özsungur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save AFRASİYAB FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coşkun Kırca in the 52nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coşkun Kırca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enes Ünal in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. After a rather tough play, AFRASİYAB FC's Dávid Petrovický got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Enes Ünal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to AFRASİYAB FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sultan Ahmed hit a great ball. Isidoro Sarmiento charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Sarmiento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 83 minutes into the match, AFRASİYAB FC's goalkeeper Reşat Özsungur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. Reşat Özsungur came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reşat Özsungur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Reşat Özsungur. AFRASİYAB FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFRASİYAB FC had won after a very even match.
