The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. 46 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Callegari's Walmir Valladares. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caco Capixaba to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 0-12 when Francisco Seco sped through Callegari's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Walmir Valladares. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Walmir Valladares made a huge save. Walmir Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Callegari defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmir Valladares. The Callegari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir Valladares should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Francisco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Valladares. Callegari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-14. With his leg Walmir Valladares managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Walmir Valladares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlos Eduardo Trevisan made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Chicão Sergipano immediately put the ball in play. Callegari's Cícero Branco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alberto Gisbert, made in the 92nd minute of the game. After 93 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Walmir Valladares in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Callegari's goalkeeper Walmir Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano.
