Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joep Ponk in the 7th minute of the match. When Hector Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Hector Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 7th minute. Joep Ponk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Ágætis Byrjun's Jacobo Nores threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manolo Bartumeu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11th minute, Joep Ponk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Manolo Bartumeu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joep Ponk in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute of the match, Joep Ponk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacobo Nores was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joep Ponk got free with Jacobo Nores in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Joep Ponk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Ágætis Byrjun's Manolo Bartumeu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. After a long run with the ball, Joep Ponk did a trick in the 54th minute in front of Paraguay's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 7-0. An impressive performance by Ágætis Byrjun's Joep Ponk! After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Manolo Bartumeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolo Bartumeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joep Ponk, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Joep Ponk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Joep Ponk made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Ágætis Byrjun's Gert van den Bergh was substituted for Joep Ponk. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen. But to his dismay, Nick Heesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Ditlev Delmont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 81st minute of play. Ágætis Byrjun's Ditlev Delmont managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jose Sanz in the 87 minute of the game. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ditlev Delmont in the 88th minute of play. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Heesen went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 13-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ágætis Byrjun fully deserved thier win.
