Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of LA IMPRENTA's Bernardino Mark. Bernardino Mark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardino Mark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. LA IMPRENTA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bernardino Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Bernardino Mark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Bernardino Mark. LA IMPRENTA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, LA IMPRENTA's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Bernardino Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liu Chang Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of LA IMPRENTA booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio Vitullo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciccio Vitullo helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Bertoni in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Bernardino Mark made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Bertoni in the 64th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Mark having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Ricardo Bertoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernardino Mark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ricardo Bertoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Bertoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4.
