Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abelardo Monico got the match started through his kick off. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Teo Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 2nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Bernaldo came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 7 played minutes StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Corderro. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Bernaldo having to interfere. Teo Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Teo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Vachon's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Vachon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Vachon to maneuver through the defense. Teo Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teo Bernaldo. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 29th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teo Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After some careless play in the StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teo Bernaldo. The StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teo Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Teo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 42 minutes in the game, Daniel Zorita dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 45th minute. The StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-5.
Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Teo Bernaldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 52nd play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Teo Bernaldo and just under the crossbar into goal. 55 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Teo Bernaldo. Teo Bernaldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Teo Bernaldo, making the score, 0-8. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Teo Bernaldo made a huge save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goalkeeper Teo Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Sergio Florian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Sergio Florian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascual Corderro hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Teo Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
