F.C. Sant Sabo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Mata in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheng Le Xing in the 17th minute of play. Eugenio Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Cheng Le Xing came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Sant Sabo's Eugenio Molina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Molina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cheng Le Xing came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. Eugenio Molina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, F.C. Sant Sabo's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Eugenio Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C. Sant Sabo's Eugenio Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when F.C. Sant Sabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Harri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, F.C. Sant Sabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Mata to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 45 minutes, Roberto Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Sant Sabo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Celio Oton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C. Sant Sabo. When F.C. Sant Sabo's Cheng Le Xing in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. 57 minutes into the match, F.C. Sant Sabo's Mazuste Flores sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eugenio Molina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Molina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Mazuste Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, F.C. Sant Sabo's Eugenio Molina got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 minutes, Roberto Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Sant Sabo and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
